Software Engineer, Platform

About the role

Cartesia is developing AI that perceives and interacts with the world through human-like intelligence. We are seeking a Platform Engineer to build the infrastructure that supports our real-time multimodal models.

What you'll do

• Architect and maintain high-performance, reliable inference and serving systems for our State Space Models.
• Collaborate with research and product teams to integrate new model developments into functional applications.
• Develop parallelized, high-quality infrastructure for training data processing and model evaluation.
• Exercise autonomy to influence how our AI models function across diverse hardware and software environments.

Requirements

• Proficiency in managing complex codebases and monorepos.
• Ability to produce clean, maintainable, and high-quality code.
• Experience building distributed systems that prioritize performance, reliability, and observability.
• Proven technical leadership skills with a track record of delivering projects from inception to completion in ambiguous environments.
• Adaptability to work across our primary tech stack, including Go, Python, and Next.js.

Nice to have

• Prior experience or academic background involving machine learning and generative models.
