Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer II

About the role

Careem is seeking a technical expert to manage and scale our regional network, server, and endpoint infrastructure. You will lead the integration of AI-driven automation into our daily operations while maintaining high-availability systems across our offices and data centers.

What you'll do

• Manage Cisco Meraki network hardware, including switches, wireless access points, and security appliances.
• Oversee WAN connectivity, MPLS links, and Peplink SD-WAN failover configurations.
• Administer VMware clusters, including vSphere, ESXi, and resource management.
• Maintain voice infrastructure, including SIP/PRI gateways and contact center systems.
• Configure MDM solutions like JumpCloud, Microsoft Autopilot, and Apple Business Manager.
• Manage Google Workspace, Zscaler security policies, and SSO authentication.
• Develop API integrations and automation scripts to streamline IT workflows.
• Implement AI tools for ticket triage, system monitoring, and anomaly detection.
• Execute patch management for Windows and Mac environments.
• Handle SSL certificate lifecycles, domain registrations, and software licensing.
• Apply ITIL standards for incident, change, and problem management.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki, VMware, and Peplink hardware.
• Proficiency in managing MPLS, WAN, and voice gateway technologies.
• Experience with MDM platforms, Zscaler, and Google Workspace administration.
• Background in client engineering, including endpoint imaging and lifecycle management.
• Ability to code in PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation.
• Knowledge of ITIL principles and infrastructure security best practices.
• Experience with SSO, API-based system integrations, and backup/disaster recovery.
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex network and server issues.
• Clear communication skills for stakeholder management.
