About the role
This position leads the growth strategy for Careem Food in Dubai and the wider UAE market. The Growth Manager is responsible for developing plans, monitoring performance, creating and managing growth programs, and ensuring alignment across different departments. This person acts as the main link between the growth team and the commercial organization, directly accountable for meeting revenue goals for Food in the region.

What you'll do
- Develop and manage the bottom-up growth plan for Dubai/UAE, converting market opportunities into specific targets for monthly active users (MAUs), orders per user (OPU), average revenue per user (ARPU), and overall revenue.
- Create and maintain quarterly and annual growth roadmaps, ensuring they align with the organization's revenue objectives.
- Oversee performance tracking for Dubai/UAE, including weekly/monthly reviews of plans versus actuals, funnel health checks, and tracking individual initiatives.
- Build and maintain dashboards that show the status of key growth metrics across the customer funnel.
- Proactively identify performance gaps, determine their causes, and implement quick corrective actions.
- Serve as the main growth contact for the Food commercial team, ensuring close integration between growth and commercial plans.
- Share responsibility with the commercial team for achieving revenue targets, designing offers, incentives, and promotions that balance growth with unit economics.
- Design end-to-end growth initiatives covering user acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization.
- Lead A/B testing and experimentation to refine and optimize initiatives across various channels.
- Manage the execution of the Dubai/UAE growth portfolio, including scoping, resource allocation, launch timelines, and post-launch measurement.
- Ensure initiatives are delivered on schedule with clear owners, milestones, and success metrics.
- Handle cross-team dependencies and promptly escalate any roadblocks to leadership.
- Align Product, Engineering, Operations, and Marketing teams with the Dubai/UAE growth agenda.
- Clearly communicate growth performance and strategy to senior stakeholders and leadership.
- Build and manage customer segments using behavioral, demographic, and transactional data.
- Design targeted retention and engagement programs based on cohort analysis and lifecycle insights.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in growth, product marketing, or strategy, with a focus on e-commerce, food delivery, or consumer tech platforms.
- Demonstrated success in managing growth plans and achieving revenue or engagement targets.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives involving product, engineering, and commercial teams.
- Previous experience in a rapidly growing, fast-paced market environment.
- Strong analytical skills, including data mining, statistical modeling, and SQL.
- Deep understanding of A/B testing, cohort analysis, churn/attrition modeling, and customer lifetime value (CLTV).
- Proficiency in growth metrics such as customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), ARPU, OPU, and conversion rates.
- Excellent program management skills: structured, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple workstreams.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing abilities, able to achieve results without direct authority.
- Clear and concise communication skills, comfortable in senior stakeholder reviews and cross-functional discussions.
- In-depth knowledge of food delivery market dynamics, customer behavior, and the competitive landscape.
