About the role
Careem is seeking a technical lead to manage our internal enterprise systems and drive operational efficiency. You will own the administration, development, and support of our Atlassian stack while ensuring our broader suite of productivity and collaboration tools aligns with business goals.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Serve as the primary technical lead for Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Desk.
- Design and implement custom workflows, screens, scripts, and automation tasks.
- Build dashboards, reports, and planning views to meet diverse stakeholder needs.
- Assist team members with complex JQL queries.
- Manage system permissions and access configurations to maintain compliance.
- Track incidents via ITSM tools and execute incident management protocols.
- Perform root cause analysis, document known errors, and provide workarounds.
- Lead change management for system updates and architectural changes.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user guides and technical manuals.
- Evaluate system performance to recommend enhancements and upgrades.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- 4 to 7 years of professional experience in enterprise application management.
- Proven technical proficiency with Atlassian products including Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Desk.
- Programming experience in Python or Java.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with API protocols and system integration.
- Practical knowledge of GitHub and cross-application automation.
- Strong project management, analytical, and stakeholder communication abilities.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Groovy scripting for Jira automation, such as Script Runner.
- Experience with data analytics tools.
- Familiarity with Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
- Prior administrative support experience for Atlassian-related products.
- Master degree or professional certifications like PMP, ITIL, or ACP.
