What you'll do

• Lead the architectural design of new web applications and oversee critical Tier-0 services like Fleet Management, Authentication, and Core APIs.
• Guide the development of front-end infrastructure and cloud platforms using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and scalable databases to connect web services with edge devices.
• Drive technical excellence in React and modern front-end architecture, building complex, data-intensive control systems.
• Take full ownership of major projects from conception to deployment, defining long-term architectural strategies and selecting technologies for significant system scaling.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and product managers, translating customer needs into software designs and elevating team capabilities through reviews and advocacy.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering or higher degree in computer science and engineering.
• 12 or more years of relevant professional experience.
• Expert-level knowledge in a modern programming language such as Node, Typescript, C++, golang, Python, or Java.
• Expert-level knowledge of large-scale distributed systems and data pipelines.
• Expertise in building and scaling APIs.
• Strong communication, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.

Practical notes

This position offers a salary range of $240,800 to $361,200 per year, with an aim to hire new employees near the midpoint of $301,000, adjusted for location if not based in Sunnyvale or Santa Clara. The company provides a comprehensive total rewards package including equity, benefits, and time off programs. This is an onsite position.
