Sr. Manager, Events & Field Marketing at CaptivateIQ
About the role
This is a foundational role for our events marketing efforts, offering the chance to build our strategy from the ground up. You will be responsible for representing CaptivateIQ at key industry gatherings, conferences, and company-hosted events. The ideal candidate will bring a background in event marketing, project management, and cross-functional collaboration, with a proven ability to manage agencies for both virtual and in-person experiences.

What you'll do
- Create and manage a comprehensive field marketing plan covering trade shows, conferences, executive gatherings, roadshows, webinars, partner events, customer events, and CaptivateIQ-hosted functions.
- Develop integrated event campaigns in collaboration with Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Digital Marketing, Content, Business Development, and Sales teams to maximize engagement before, during, and after events.
- Work with Sales leadership to pinpoint key accounts, territories, and event investments that generate meetings, opportunities, and pipeline.
- Assess sponsorships, conferences, and field marketing initiatives based on their business impact, alignment with target audiences, projected pipeline contribution, and return on investment.
- Design engaging in-person and virtual experiences that enhance brand recognition and produce measurable business outcomes.
- Define performance metrics and forecast event results, including registrations, meetings, opportunities, pipeline, and revenue influence.
- Implement standardized processes for pre-event planning, on-site execution, post-event follow-up, and executive reporting.
- Coordinate with Business Development and Sales to ensure prompt follow-up, meeting conversion, and opportunity advancement post-event.
- Analyze event performance and report business results, insights, recommendations, and future investment strategies to executive leadership.
- Oversee the annual event budget, continually adjusting investments based on performance data and business impact.
- Support executive engagement strategies, including securing speaking slots, customer meetings, executive dinners, and strategic account interactions.
- Establish scalable processes to improve planning, cross-functional teamwork, execution, and measurement across the events program.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, or integrated demand generation.
- Demonstrated success in building field marketing programs that deliver measurable pipeline and revenue results.
- Experience in planning and executing conferences, executive events, webinars, customer events, and virtual experiences from concept to completion.
- A solid understanding of demand generation principles and how events fit into integrated marketing campaigns.
- Experience working closely with Sales and Business Development to drive meetings, pipeline, and account engagement.
- Proven ability to forecast, track, and communicate event performance using pipeline, opportunity, and ROI metrics.
- Strong project management and cross-functional leadership capabilities, with the ability to influence stakeholders across Marketing and Sales.
- A professional demeanor and experience presenting recommendations and business outcomes to senior leadership.
- Highly analytical, with the capacity to make investment decisions based on data and business results.
- Experience managing substantial event budgets and optimizing investments based on performance.
- A self-starter with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

- Familiarity with HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoom Webinar, Outreach, Gong, Highspot, Slack, and Google Workspace.
- Experience marketing to professionals in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Compensation, Finance, or enterprise B2B software buyers.
- Experience with Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies and field marketing programs.
