Senior Engineering Manager

About the role

You will manage the Core Platform and Integrations & IAM teams within our engineering organization. This role focuses on scaling our Polish hub while overseeing the architecture and delivery of our event-driven systems, identity workflows, and data connectors.

What you'll do

• Manage and mentor multiple distributed engineering teams to maintain high performance and psychological safety.
• Coach senior and staff-level engineers to support their career growth and technical development.
• Oversee the operational health, security, and reliability of core systems and user-facing workflows.
• Collaborate with product and design leadership to define long-term roadmaps and strategic goals.
• Guide architectural decisions and establish technical standards, including SLAs, SLOs, and quality assurance processes.
• Promote asynchronous communication habits to support team members across an 8-hour time zone range.

Requirements

• Significant background as an individual contributor in software development.
• Proven experience managing multiple distributed engineering teams.
• History of delivering B2B SaaS products, specifically regarding backend services, APIs, and user-facing workflows.
• Ability to provide technical guidance on complex architectural challenges for senior staff.
• Experience setting technical strategy and vision over 6 to 12 month periods.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for remote-first collaboration.
• Demonstrated success in recruiting and developing senior-level technical talent.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Python.
• Background in the B2B SaaS industry.
• Experience with scalable worker frameworks and event-driven architectures.
• Strategic experience designing APIs or Open APIs to support integration ecosystems.
• Experience building data connector ecosystems or working with iPaaS tools such as Workato.
• Experience developing Identity, Authentication, or Access Management solutions.
