About the role

Canva is seeking a specialist to drive organic growth across the MENA region, specifically targeting the GCC and Egypt. You will produce and manage localized, search-optimized content to increase brand visibility and user engagement.

What you'll do

• Develop and refine SEO-focused landing pages and blog posts that adhere to brand standards and regional requirements.
• Manage the editorial calendar and publishing schedule to meet strategic growth targets.
• Track content performance metrics to update existing pages and improve user interaction.
• Partner with the local SEO team to execute keyword research and competitor analysis.
• Provide insights on local market trends and cultural nuances to guide content strategy.
• Monitor shifts in search behavior, including AI-driven discovery platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.
• Test new content formats and optimization methods to adapt to changing search landscapes.

Requirements

• Proven background in SEO content writing or content marketing with a portfolio of results.
• Native Arabic speaker with proficiency in regional dialects and business-level English.
• Experience with editorial planning and CMS publishing.
• Knowledge of SEO principles including user intent, keyword optimization, and content architecture.
• Ability to analyze web metrics to measure and improve content success.
• Strong copywriting and editing capabilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with SEO platforms such as Ahrefs or Semrush.
