About the role
Canva is seeking a data science leader to guide a team supporting our B2B Sales and Customer Success divisions. You will bridge the gap between technical execution and commercial strategy, helping our organization scale through data-driven insights and AI-powered workflows.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Supervise and mentor a team of four data scientists focused on the B2B sales funnel.
- Define the roadmap for GTM analytics, including pipeline generation, churn modeling, and account health scoring.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps leadership to prioritize high-impact analytical projects.
- Transition the team from ad-hoc reporting to building production-grade data products and semantic layers.
- Integrate AI tools to automate sales signals and create self-service analytics for business stakeholders.
- Present analytical findings and forecasts to senior leadership during quarterly business reviews.
Requirements
- Multiple years of experience in data science or analytics within a B2B SaaS or growth-focused environment.
- Proven track record of leading or coaching small teams through ambiguous projects.
- Fluency in B2B sales metrics such as ARR, NDR, pipeline management, and forecasting.
- Ability to communicate complex data narratives to senior commercial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in shipping data products that directly influenced sales or customer success operations.
Skills & tools
- SQL (Snowflake or equivalent)
- Data modeling (dbt or equivalent)
- Modern BI tools (Mode, Looker, or similar)
