AI Program Manager (Localisation)

About the role

You will lead the strategy and execution for localizing Canva's generative AI features to ensure they resonate with global users. This position requires a blend of high-level program management and hands-on operational work to align cross-functional teams toward a unified localisation goal.

What you'll do

• Direct the program roadmap, timelines, and cross-functional coordination for GenAI localisation.
• Design and scale evaluation operations, including human review pipelines using Label Studio and automated testing frameworks.
• Oversee external vendors and contingent labellers, managing capacity planning and quality benchmarks.
• Collaborate with GenAI evaluation teams to establish quality standards for localised content.
• Develop dashboards and lightweight tooling to monitor quality metrics and identify technical issues.
• Analyze localisation data to provide actionable insights for technical teams.
• Report project status, risks, and strategic decisions to stakeholders ranging from labellers to executive leadership.

Requirements

• Experience as a program or operations leader managing complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Proven ability to deliver AI or transformation programs from inception to enterprise-scale implementation.
• Familiarity with AI concepts such as LLM evaluation, RAG, BLEU, and COMET.
• Capability to manage external workforces and vendors while maintaining strict quality control.
• Ability to synthesize data and communicate effectively across different levels of the organization.
• Background in program management, AI transformation, or product operations.
