Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a developer to build and maintain compliance reporting systems for our Equities division. You will design backend services and web applications while ensuring our data processing remains efficient and accurate.

What you'll do

• Develop and optimize backend services and web-based applications.
• Create compliance reporting tools for Equities products like CAT and CASE.
• Maintain high code quality within an Agile development cycle.
• Manage data processing and database optimization tasks.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of professional backend experience using Python and Java with the Spring Framework.
• Familiarity with the Equities asset class.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational database management.
• Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Background in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and microservices design.
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with Web UI frameworks such as Angular.
• Proficiency with in-memory caching tools like Redis or Pivotal Cloud Cache (Gemfire).
• Familiarity with the Solace messaging platform.
• Experience deploying to cloud environments including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of containerization through Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of event-driven architecture and messaging systems.
