About the role
Cantor Fitzgerald is seeking an Associate Developer to join the Technology Markets team in New York. You will build and maintain applications within the Risk Technology division while integrating cloud and SaaS solutions into existing workflows.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Build new features and optimize the performance of current software systems.
- Create and manage application infrastructure, including disaster recovery and failover protocols.
- Integrate SaaS and cloud tools into the Risk Technology stack.
- Manage FIX Connectivity, including the setup and certification of gateways and sessions.
- Develop desktop and web-based user interfaces.
- Maintain documentation for internal audits and regulatory requirements.
- Perform unit testing, deployment, and software maintenance.
- Gather and analyze user feedback to iterate on application functionality.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Two years of professional software development experience within the financial services sector.
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Django, React, JavaScript, Python, SQL, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with Freemarker, Selenium, Cron Jobs, and Spring Scheduler.
- Knowledge of identity management including Keycloak IAM, LDAP, RBAC, and SSO.
- Familiarity with caching tools like Redis and Guava Cache.
- Expertise in parallel processing, Spring Performance Libraries, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Experience with data lineage, data governance, and AWS S3.
- Competency in Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work within Agile and Scrum frameworks.
- Background in unit testing, QA automation, system design, and performance tuning.
- Experience with enterprise integration, reporting pipelines, stress-testing, and legacy system migration.
