What you'll do
- Develop and implement tools and applications to expand the capabilities of Calendly's infrastructure.
- Assess and guide the adoption of new applications across the company.
- Apply expertise in cloud infrastructure principles and design patterns.
- Promote and share best practices for developing cloud-native applications.
- Cultivate a learning and knowledge-sharing environment within the team.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in cloud infrastructure or software development.
- Over 4 years of experience leading technical initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to mentor and share knowledge with others.
- Experience collaborating with internal customers to understand their needs and develop solutions.
- Proven ability to solve complex problems creatively and deliver high-quality results.
- Strong proficiency in Go (Golang), particularly for building and managing cloud infrastructure APIs.
- Expert understanding of cloud-native application design on Kubernetes, including patterns like Controllers and Operators.
- Extensive experience designing, building, and operating highly available production systems.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems and fundamental systems engineering concepts.
- Technical knowledge of cloud infrastructure (especially GCP), distributed systems, and reliability engineering.
- Working knowledge of system and infrastructure tuning and observability tools, with a focus on Datadog.
- Must be authorized to work legally in the United States.

- Salary ranges: Tier 1: $286,762 - $347,488 USD; Tier 2: $262,865 - $318,530 USD; Tier 3: $238,968 - $289,573 USD. These ranges are subject to change and depend on factors including experience, skills, interview performance, and location.
- Total compensation includes base salary, equity awards, and benefits.
- Geographic pay tiers are based on employee location.
- Employment is not available in Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, and West Virginia.
- Occasional travel may be required for company events, team collaboration, or offsites.
