Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Cabify is transforming urban mobility by connecting riders with drivers and expanding into new transport modes like scooters and mopeds. We are looking for engineers to join our Madrid-based team to scale our platform and help us become a leader in the taxi app industry.

What you'll do

• Build self-service infrastructure components for global use by our engineering team and millions of users.
• Collaborate with Product and Infrastructure teams to design and develop core architecture.
• Create tools to enhance service availability, scalability, observability, and latency.
• Promote reliability standards across teams and review software architectures.
• Define and manage SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs throughout the service lifecycle.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for platform services.
• Automate solutions to prevent recurring incidents and improve system stability.
• Contribute to the engineering recruitment process.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Unix systems, networking stacks, the OSI model, and container orchestration.
• Strong programming skills in at least one language with the ability to learn others.
• Experience with monitoring and logging practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English within an international team.
• A preference for simple, iterative solutions over complex, perfect ones.
• Experience identifying and resolving system bottlenecks.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the CAP theorem.
