About the role

Join the Applied Science team to influence urban mobility across more than 40 global cities. You will work with full organizational data access to build models that optimize pricing, fraud detection, and logistics.

What you'll do

• Initiate and execute data science projects in collaboration with product, engineering, and business units.
• Build, test, and deploy statistical and machine learning models into live production environments.
• Conduct rigorous experiments using scientific methods to measure the impact of new product features.
• Translate technical findings into actionable business insights.
• Drive innovation by introducing new research and technical concepts to the team.
• Communicate complex data findings to diverse stakeholders throughout the company.
• Influence product strategy by providing data-driven perspectives during development.
• Mentor team members and establish technical standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in data science or research.
• Master or PhD degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven track record in designing and validating machine learning models.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and visualization.
• Advanced SQL skills for data extraction and processing.
• Experience managing the full production lifecycle of machine learning models, including deployment, monitoring, and serving.
• Ability to manage tasks independently in a dynamic, unstructured setting.

Nice to have

• Advanced knowledge of probability and statistics.
• Expertise in scientific experimentation, including sampling and significance testing.
• History of publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
• Familiarity with Bayesian statistics, time series analysis, causal inference, or deep learning.
• Experience modeling and visualizing geographic data.
