About the role
Bybit is seeking a Country Manager to oversee all regulated operations in El Salvador. This leadership position involves strategic direction, operational management, and governance for all licensed activities. The role ensures the business operates safely, compliantly, and sustainably, while building relationships with regulators and partners.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage daily operations and oversight of VASP and EMI activities in El Salvador.
- Implement local business strategies that align with Group objectives and regulatory standards.
- Ensure all regulated actions comply with laws, license terms, and internal policies.
- Represent Bybit as the primary contact for local regulators, financial institutions, and external partners.
- Supervise operational, compliance, financial, and risk management within the region.
- Drive initiatives for operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and business expansion.
- Establish and maintain effective frameworks for governance, reporting, and issue escalation.
- Confirm adequate resources, controls, and processes are in place for licensed activities.
- Build and develop the local management team, promoting a culture of accountability and compliance.
- Provide regular updates and reports to Group leadership and governance committees.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in financial services, banking, payments, fintech, or digital assets.
- Previous experience in a senior management, country leadership, or executive role.
- Strong understanding of El Salvador's financial services, payments, and virtual asset regulatory environment.
- Must be a citizen of El Salvador and reside there, available to work locally full-time.
- Fluent in both Spanish and English.
- Proven commercial, operational, and leadership abilities.
