About the role
This position is key to ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time across multiple countries, with a primary focus on the U.S. You will manage the full payroll cycle, handle complex issue resolution, and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations.

What you'll do
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for the U.S. and provide support for international payroll activities.
- Examine payroll data to find errors, determine their origins, and fix them efficiently.
- Verify payroll inputs, including pay, deductions, taxes, and other adjustments, to ensure they align with company rules and legal requirements.
- Review payroll reports and perform reconciliations, such as gross-to-net balancing and tax reconciliation.
- Manage special payroll runs, adjustments, and employee departures, ensuring compliance with final pay rules.
- Meet all payroll deadlines by following established schedules and procedures.
- Support adherence to federal, state, and local payroll tax rules and wage laws.
- Assist with quarterly and year-end payroll tasks, including W-2 preparation and tax reporting.
- Provide documentation and records for internal and external audits.
- Administer and support Workday Payroll and Time Tracking functions.
- Help with the setup, testing, and improvement of Workday Payroll and Time Tracking systems.
- Generate and maintain payroll and timekeeping reports.
- Work with HRIS and the Payroll Manager on Workday system updates and testing.
- Monitor and reconcile timekeeping data for accuracy and policy compliance.
- Respond to employee and manager payroll questions, offering excellent service.
- Act as a backup for managing the allotment inbox.
- Identify and implement process improvements for payroll and timekeeping.
- Create and update standard operating procedures for payroll processes.
- Participate in cross-functional projects as needed.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a similar field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, with at least 3 years specifically using Workday payroll modules.
- Deep understanding of U.S. payroll tax compliance.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP.
- Strong skills in report creation and data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex global payroll environments with precision.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities, with a commitment to confidentiality.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, international setting and build cross-cultural relationships.
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
