About the role
Businesswire is seeking a leader to direct its IT Operations department and drive excellence across the organization. This role involves managing internal systems, procurement, and support services while partnering with Engineering and Cybersecurity teams to meet company goals.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop and execute short and long-term strategies for Service Desk, Customer Support, Procurement, Facilities, and Corporate IT.
- Manage the roadmap for project delivery, including scheduling and milestone tracking.
- Oversee the administration and maintenance of Windows-based systems, including Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, and identity management.
- Lead incident management and serve as the primary contact during major technical outages.
- Direct IT procurement, vendor sourcing, and contract renewals.
- Establish and monitor KPIs and SLOs to report performance to senior leadership.
- Manage corporate facilities, including the San Francisco headquarters and remote support operations.
- Mentor and coach staff through performance reviews and technical training.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Cybersecurity leadership to align technology objectives.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in IT support and corporate IT operations management.
- Ability to work from the San Francisco office at least twice per week.
- Experience managing multiple IT functions, including procurement, budget oversight, and vendor relations.
- Proficiency in Windows and Mac OS, networking, endpoint management, and wireless technologies.
- Experience with Jira Service Desk, ServiceNow, Zendesk, or Salesforce.
- Familiarity with Okta, Entra, Intune, Office 365, and telephony systems.
- Expertise in Microsoft/Azure AD and group policy implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to create standard operating procedures and lead organizational change.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with executive stakeholders.
- Must be authorized to work in the US; Businesswire will not sponsor new visas.

Practical notes
- Base salary: $165,000 to $175,000 per year.
