Founding Head of Product, New Ventures

About the role

Brightwheel is seeking an AI-native product leader to launch and scale new business lines within our early education platform. You will operate with founder-level ownership to identify market opportunities, build initial prototypes, and drive products from conception to commercial viability. This role reports directly to the CEO and requires a hands-on builder who uses modern tools to accelerate development.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Manage new ventures from initial concept through product-market fit and subsequent scaling.
• Conduct customer discovery to identify needs, build early versions, and secure rapid user feedback.
• Define and validate business models, ensuring each new product has a clear path to economic sustainability.
• Utilize AI and modern software stacks to prototype and build solutions independently.
• Collaborate with the executive team and board to set vision and report on venture performance.
• Hire and mentor the team as individual ventures gain traction.

Requirements

• Demonstrated success in building products that customers value.
• Proven experience taking projects from zero to one, preferably as a founder or early-stage employee.
• Ability to manage full business ownership, including pricing, value proposition, and financial modeling.
• Practical experience applying AI tools to increase development speed and cross-disciplinary output.
• Strong communication skills to align stakeholders and inspire team members.

• Multidisciplinary expertise spanning product design, engineering, and data analysis.
• Ability to navigate high-ambiguity environments by making data-informed decisions without existing playbooks.
