Brightwheel is seeking a Director to oversee the technology and teams that power its operational functions. This role involves enhancing existing technical systems and guiding the company's operational stack toward an AI-first approach. The ideal candidate will drive significant company-wide improvements and directly manage key initiatives.

What you'll do

• Manage the technical infrastructure and teams responsible for brightwheel's operations.
• Lead the technical systems architecture and administration teams, optimizing the go-to-market stack for AI integration.
• Directly manage and execute high-priority projects and initiatives.
• Implement impactful capabilities across the company to improve business outcomes and support operational rhythms.
• Supervise a team of managers and individual contributors, providing direct support as needed.
• Drive AI-native transformation across all owned functions, including hands-on development when appropriate.

Requirements

• Experience leading a multi-functional technical or operational organization, including managing other managers.
• A history of achieving business outcomes such as growth, efficiency, conversion, or retention, not just delivering reports.
• Sufficient technical understanding of data engineering, software engineering, or technical systems (like Salesforce architecture) to troubleshoot issues directly.
• Experience operating in a high-growth, mid-sized company where infrastructure had to be built from scratch.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving roles and organizational structures.
• Proven track record of building AI-native workflows or tools that significantly transformed team or company operations.
• Close collaboration with C-suite and executive leaders to define strategy using data, even in ambiguous situations.
