Senior Enterprise Architect

About the role

BrickRed Systems is looking for a Senior Enterprise Architect to direct cloud strategy and modernization efforts within AWS GovCloud environments. You will oversee the design of secure, scalable infrastructure while ensuring adherence to strict federal compliance standards.

What you'll do

• Develop and manage enterprise-wide architecture strategies covering cloud, security, networking, and DevOps.
• Execute the migration of infrastructure from CloudFormation to Terraform.
• Establish governance guardrails using AWS Identity Center, IAM, and Service Control Policies.
• Design multi-account architectures utilizing Landing Zone Accelerator.
• Author technical documentation and Architecture Decision Records.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff.
• Lead architecture reviews to ensure alignment with defined standards.
• Manage the architecture for Kubernetes platform deployments.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in Enterprise IT.
• 6+ years of experience in Cloud Architecture.
• Mandatory U.S. Citizenship for access to AWS GovCloud.
• Proven expertise in FedRAMP, FISMA, and DoD IL2 compliance frameworks.
• Deep technical knowledge of AWS GovCloud, Terraform, IAM, and Identity Center.
• Experience with AWS Organizations and Landing Zone Accelerator.
• Proficiency in leading large-scale cloud modernization projects.
