DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer

BrickRed Systems is hiring an engineer to support a platform team focused on scaling enterprise API development. This position centers on the intersection of application logic and cloud infrastructure, requiring a balance of development and operations expertise.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Provision and maintain AWS services including Redis, Valkey, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, Kafka, and Amazon S3.
• Build and refine GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Helm Charts.
• Create automated testing frameworks for functional and performance validation.
• Develop AI-assisted tools to support API engineering workflows.
• Manage secrets and configurations across deployment environments.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and optimize infrastructure for cost and performance.
• Mentor junior staff and perform code reviews.
• Create technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and training guides.

Requirements

• Experience managing application-layer infrastructure within AWS.
• Proficiency in designing and maintaining automated deployment pipelines.
• Ability to develop scalable automation for cloud and on-premise systems.
• Experience with configuration management and secrets handling.
• Capacity to work within Agile teams and contribute to cross-functional projects.
