Software Engineer II, Frontend

About the role

Brex provides a financial platform that helps companies manage spending, banking, and travel across more than 200 markets. You will join our engineering organization to build and maintain the interfaces that power our global financial tools.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop new product features.
• Partner with internal departments like Sales and Support to identify and solve customer needs.
• Create and run experiments to refine the user experience.
• Manage projects from initial concept through data modeling, scalability, and ongoing performance monitoring.
• Refine and polish features to ensure high quality.

Requirements

• Experience in the full lifecycle of client-side development, including architecture, coding, and testing.
• Background in web platform development with a focus on cross-browser compatibility.
• Proficiency with ES6+, React, GraphQL, and Webpack.
• Ability to maintain high engineering standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience working with product, design, and operations teams.
• Knowledge of React Native for mobile development.
• Familiarity with design tools.
• Strong writing abilities.
• Proactive work ethic.
