Senior Salesforce Developer

About the role

Brex is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to design, build, and maintain their Salesforce SaaS/PaaS environment. This role involves collaborating with various business units to translate needs into technical solutions. You will ensure Salesforce best practices are applied across different departments.

What you'll do

• Partner with business units to convert requirements into logical technical designs and Salesforce solutions.
• Participate in cross-functional teams addressing strategic business issues across departments like Marketing, Sales, and Support.
• Oversee the evaluation, scoping, and completion of new development requests.
• Take full ownership of Salesforce solutions, from design and development to testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Write and develop code following current industry standards and best practices.
• Manage the change management and deployment process for the Salesforce codebase.
• Conduct code reviews for active projects to maintain high code quality and adherence to design patterns.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive experience in Salesforce development, specifically with complex B2B implementations.
• Ability to evaluate the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and all connected systems.
• Deep understanding of the Salesforce platform, including building custom apps, objects, formula fields, workflows, and complex custom views.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization and manage relationships effectively.
• Effective communication skills for diverse audiences and various organizational levels.
• Familiarity with advanced Apex programming concepts, including design patterns, limits, bulk patterns, trigger handling, asynchronous operations, and unit testing.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with other tools and third-party applications using Salesforce APIs.
• Expertise in core Salesforce programming languages and web technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD and deployment techniques within Salesforce.

Nice to have

• Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I, Platform Developer II, Architect).
• Experience with SCRUM or Agile methodologies.
• Prior non-Salesforce software engineering experience.
• University or College Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Front-end development experience with HTML, CSS, and the Lightning Design System.
• Experience as a Salesforce Administrator or Business Analyst.
