About the role
Brex is seeking a product leader to own the Brex Assistant, an AI agent designed to automate expense, travel, and spend management tasks. You will shape the future of conversational finance by building tools that allow employees to manage complex workflows through chat and SMS.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Define the product strategy and roadmap for the Brex Assistant.
- Translate complex financial workflows into reliable, action-oriented agent behaviors.
- Design evaluation frameworks, prompting strategies, and feedback loops to ensure agent accuracy.
- Prototype and iterate based on direct user feedback and data analysis.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and research to maintain high standards for a trust-critical financial product.
Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of experience in product management.
- Proven history of shipping complex, user-facing products from inception to launch.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying LLM or agent-based features for end users.
- Proficiency in designing evals, prompt engineering, and iterating based on performance metrics.
- Ability to operate in ambiguous environments, ideally with experience as a founder or early-stage operator.
- Strong product judgment and a willingness to engage in technical details.
Nice to have
- Experience developing chat-native, conversational, or SMS-based interfaces.
- Background in fintech, expense management, or corporate spend workflows.
Skills & tools
- LLM prompting and evaluation design.
- Data analysis and user research.
- Cross-functional product strategy.
Practical notes
Salary range: $184,000 to $230,000 per year, plus equity and additional compensation depending on the offer. Starting pay is determined by location, skills, and internal parity.
