Staff Product Manager, Embedded

About the role

Brex is looking for a Staff Product Manager to scale our Embedded business, which integrates our card program into existing financial software. You will lead the strategy for our API and partner platform to drive significant growth and expand our financial ecosystem.

What you'll do

• Define and execute the multi-year roadmap for our Embedded API and partner platform.
• Identify and prioritize high-impact partner segments and financial workflows.
• Manage the full lifecycle of partner engagements, from initial discovery and executive pitches to technical solution design.
• Develop reusable APIs and integration patterns to avoid custom, one-off builds.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Business Development to ensure scalable product launches.
• Utilize AI tools to improve the developer experience and accelerate time-to-market.
• Manage performance metrics including integration reliability, launch velocity, payment volume, and total revenue.

Requirements

• Experience scaling an API-first business, developer platform, or similar product line.
• Deep understanding of developer experience, secure integration standards, and system architecture.
• Technical proficiency in data modeling, distributed systems, and financial infrastructure.
• Ability to lead high-stakes executive negotiations and translate partner needs into technical requirements.
• Strong commercial focus with the ability to link product strategy to revenue and payment volume growth.
• Experience operating with a founder or general manager mindset in ambiguous environments.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
