Staff Product Manager, Expenses

About the role

You will lead the strategy for our enterprise expense management platform, transforming complex financial workflows into an intelligent system. This role focuses on automating the expense lifecycle to help finance teams and employees manage global spending with minimal manual effort.

What you'll do

• Direct the end-to-end product strategy for enterprise-level expense management.
• Integrate documentation, compliance, policy enforcement, approvals, and ERP-ready accounting into a unified system.
• Architect data models and system controls that support the requirements of large, complex organizations.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts across Engineering, Design, Risk, Compliance, Accounting, Sales, and Customer Success.
• Implement AI solutions to automate repetitive tasks while reserving human review for high-judgment exceptions.
• Drive key performance metrics including software revenue, adoption rates, workflow completion, and accounting close speed.

Requirements

• Demonstrated history of managing complex enterprise systems or workflow-based products.
• Technical proficiency in configurable product architecture, backend systems, and data integrations.
• Ability to maintain high usability standards while supporting diverse customer configurations.
• Strong judgment regarding the application of AI versus human intervention in financial processes.
• Experience aligning multiple business domains under a single operational strategy.
• Capacity to influence cross-functional stakeholders and support enterprise sales outcomes.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in expense management software.
