About the role
Brex is looking for a leader to manage the strategy for our operational spend card programs. You will oversee the entire lifecycle of our card products, focusing on increasing transaction volume and revenue through improved infrastructure and user workflows.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Define and execute the product strategy for operational spend to increase card volume and recurring revenue.
- Develop purchasing-card experiences tailored to critical vendors and internal operational workflows.
- Integrate issuance, authorization, servicing, and economic controls into a unified product roadmap.
- Utilize AI to automate servicing, improve system reliability, and reduce avoidable transaction declines.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Risk, Operations, Design, and Go-to-Market teams to drive cross-stack execution.
- Maintain authorization performance and platform trust while scaling the portfolio.
Requirements
- Proven history of growing a scaled financial system, marketplace, or revenue-generating product.
- Advanced ability to analyze cohort, behavioral, and economic data to drive decision-making.
- Demonstrated success in influencing high-scale metrics such as payment volume, transaction counts, or balances.
- Experience applying systems thinking to bridge the gap between infrastructure, economics, and user experience.
- Ability to manage complex, multi-stream projects beyond simple feature roadmaps.
- Strong communication skills to influence technical, operational, and commercial stakeholders.

- Prior experience in the card or payments industry.
- Experience in scaled-growth roles within adjacent financial product sectors.

- Salary range: $240,000 to $300,000 per year, plus equity and additional compensation components.
