About the role

Brex is looking for a strategic lead to manage our social media presence and community engagement. You will develop our editorial voice, create scalable content systems, and foster relationships with our audience of founders and finance leaders.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Define and execute social media strategy across X, LinkedIn, Reddit, YouTube, and TikTok.
• Build and maintain a content calendar that balances product updates, thought leadership, and cultural commentary.
• Manage a Social Media Associate and oversee their professional development.
• Engage directly with the community, including influencers, customers, and founders.
• Collaborate with PR, design, and product marketing to turn complex data and news into social narratives.
• Monitor performance metrics to refine content tactics and improve engagement.
• Partner with operations and communications teams to manage brand reputation and respond to sensitive topics.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in editorial, content, or social media roles within SaaS, fintech, or high-growth technology companies.
• Proven ability to create high-quality, platform-specific content ranging from short-form replies to long-form threads.
• Experience managing creators or influencer partnerships.
• Familiarity with social media management software, specifically Sprout Social.
• Ability to balance long-term brand building with immediate, reactive social engagement.
• Strong editorial judgment and a portfolio demonstrating successful thought leadership or social campaigns.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling a brand social presence from an early stage.
• Deep knowledge of the fintech, founder, and AI social media landscape.
• Background in ghostwriting for executives or founders.
• Experience leading social-first product launches or community-focused campaigns.
