Key facts
What you'll do
- Increase revenue by boosting card adoption and expanding client use of Brex's Spend Management suite, including Expense Management, Bill Pay, Travel, and global payments.
- Ensure long-term client retention by understanding business needs and proactively creating strategies to reduce churn.
- Identify and prioritize expansion opportunities by analyzing account performance, usage potential, and competitive factors.
- Manage renewal and expansion cycles from initial strategy through negotiation and closing to achieve strong commercial results.
- Build relationships with executives and multiple stakeholders (finance, procurement, operations) to strengthen accounts and find new growth areas.
- Take ownership of client needs, address risks early, and be accountable for revenue and retention outcomes.
- Collaborate with Customer Success, Solutions Consultants, Underwriting, RevOps, and Product teams to deliver unified client results.
- Maintain sales discipline with consistent pipeline hygiene, accurate forecasting, and comprehensive account planning.
- Share client insights internally to influence product roadmap and operational improvements.
- Solve complex problems creatively, turning competitive threats into opportunities for retention and expansion.
Requirements
- 5 or more years of B2B closing experience in SaaS, payments, or financial technology.
- Demonstrated success managing enterprise-level accounts with complex deal cycles, executive engagement, and multi-threaded relationships.
- Consistent history of exceeding sales quotas and performing at a high level in competitive sales environments.
- Proven expertise in renewal and expansion cycles, including high-value negotiations and competitive displacements.
- Track record of driving net revenue growth through upsell, cross-sell, and adoption of multi-product solutions.
- Proficiency with sales tools and systems like Salesforce, Outreach, and Gong, with strong pipeline and forecast discipline.
Nice to have
- Deep understanding of corporate cards, underwriting, rewards, or credit risk management.
- Experience selling financial operations platforms (expense, travel, AP, or global payments).
- Recognition as a top performer (President's Club, top stack rank, etc.) in previous roles.
- Familiarity with enterprise procurement processes and competitive SaaS/fintech sales cycles.

Practical notes
This role is based in the San Francisco office. Brex operates a hybrid work model, requiring a minimum of three coordinated days in the office per week (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Employees also have the perk of up to four weeks per year of fully remote work. The expected On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for this position is $207,000 - $258,000, which includes base salary and commissions. The final compensation will depend on location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. Equity and other forms of compensation may also be part of the total package.
