About the role
Join the Cloud Data Ingestion & Transformation (CDIT) team, which is central to Braze's expansion. This team builds and maintains systems that enable customers to integrate their data with the platform quickly and effectively. You will contribute to products that process trillions of data points annually and integrate with a wide range of Braze features.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop and enhance Braze's Cloud Data Ingestion system, allowing customers to use data from their cloud warehouses within Braze.
- Work on the Data Transformation platform, which customizes how data flows from external sources into Braze.
- Drive architectural decisions and contribute to the technical strategy of the team.
- Deliver end-to-end features, including both backend and frontend components.
- Directly impact customer success and company growth by improving data integration systems.
Requirements
- 6+ years of full-stack development experience, with a focus on building scalable web applications.
- Proven technical leadership in architectural decisions and technical strategy.
- Solid understanding of design principles, data structures, and algorithms.
- Self-motivated with strong communication and organizational skills.
- Experience working in an agile team environment.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies as needed for customer solutions.
Nice to have
- Professional experience building software at scale, handling high data volumes and traffic.
- Experience building automated data pipelines, asynchronous processing, or ETL applications.
- Professional experience with Python/Django, React, Ruby on Rails, Snowflake, microservice architecture, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with modern data warehousing, BI, and analytics concepts.
- Experience with agile processes.
