Key facts
What you'll do
- Contribute to the design, training, and enhancement of advanced deep learning models for autonomous driving, focusing on comprehensive architectures that include perception, online mapping, and planning.
- Participate in the complete machine learning process, guided by experts, from data collection and analysis to model testing, hyperparameter optimization, and thorough performance evaluation.
- Collaborate with teams in simulation, infrastructure, and planning/control to implement, assess, and integrate machine learning components into the production pipeline for our autonomous trucks.
- Keep up with the latest advancements in computer vision and generative AI, and actively evaluate promising state-of-the-art methods to address real-world challenges.
Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative discipline. Upcoming graduates are welcome to apply.
- Experience with training neural networks is essential. We value practical experience gained through coursework, research, personal projects, open-source contributions, or internships.
- A solid theoretical understanding of machine learning and deep learning, with familiarity with contemporary architectures such as Transformers, CNNs, and Graphs.
- Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, along with strong software engineering skills, including knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and clean coding practices.
- Attributes: Self-motivated, analytical, and problem-solving oriented, with the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced startup environment and a collaborative team spirit.
Nice to have
- Experience in computer vision, particularly with 3D projects.
- Specialized research experience or an academic thesis in areas such as:
- Computer Vision (2D or 3D)
- Online Mapping, Vectorization, or Visual SLAM
- Prediction and Behavioral Modeling
- A history of research publications in machine learning, computer vision, or robotics conferences/journals (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICRA, IROS).
- Practical experience with model deployment, quantization, distillation, or inference acceleration tools (e.g., TensorRT, ONNX, CUDA, C++).
- Previous internships in the autonomous driving sector or advanced robotics laboratories.
