About the role
Bloomberg is looking for a seasoned professional to join our Buy-Side Product team, focusing on the evolution of our Operations strategy. This position will report to the Global Head of Buy-Side Post-Trade Product and will play a pivotal role in shaping our front-to-back operating model and Investment Book of Record (IBOR) strategy. The ideal candidate will ensure that our clients' operations are supported by precise, timely, and trustworthy investment data, including information sourced from reliable third-party partners.

What you'll do
- Establish and prioritize product initiatives that align with client requirements and strategic goals.
- Oversee and manage the product roadmap, focusing on asset class expansion and operational readiness.
- Evaluate workflows spanning front-to-middle office functions to uncover gaps and areas for enhancement.
- Convert business requirements into precise product specifications and collaborate with Engineering to create scalable solutions.
- Ensure readiness at the start of each day by enhancing data completeness, accuracy, and timeliness across essential workflows.
- Utilize data, operational metrics, and client insights to guide prioritization and product choices.
- Lead integrations with third-party partners and internal systems, ensuring alignment with the intended operating models.
- Monitor progress against project milestones, proactively addressing risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
- Communicate product vision, progress, and outcomes to clients and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in buy-side asset management or financial technology.
- In-depth understanding of data integration, reconciliation, or data integrity management processes.
- Familiarity with investment workflows, especially within front-to-middle office operations.
- Proven experience in managing product initiatives and driving results across cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret data and guide product decisions.
- Experience collaborating closely with Engineering teams in an agile development setting.
- Capability to prioritize effectively and handle competing demands in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with senior technical and business stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with middle office workflows and operational processes.
- Knowledge of asset class lifecycles, including Equity, Fixed Income, FX, Commodities, and Derivatives.
- Familiarity with enterprise buy-side solutions, including front office, IBOR, and ABOR.
- Background in leading client onboarding, integrations, or mid to large-scale product launches.
- Understanding of target operating model design and execution.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a client-focused environment.
Salary Range
140,000 - 295,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus
The salary range provided reflects the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may differ based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level.
