Electrical Engineer, Recent Graduate

About the role

Blissway builds infrastructure technology to modernize toll collection and improve highway safety across the United States. We are seeking a recent graduate to join our engineering team of fewer than 30 people to take ownership of hardware systems deployed on the Interstate Highway System.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Improve the reliability and performance of cameras, sensors, and lighting systems designed for continuous outdoor operation.
• Design circuit schematics and printed circuit boards for new hardware components.
• Develop firmware and software in Python or C++ to integrate sensors and manage data transmission.
• Update CAD models to streamline assembly and production processes.
• Manage hardware projects from initial design through to deployment.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, graduating in 2025 or 2026.
• Demonstrated experience building physical hardware, such as through internships, senior design projects, or personal electronics work.
• Foundational knowledge of circuit design and CAD software.
• Ability to write code in Python or C++ to interface hardware with software systems.
• Willingness to work an average of 55 hours per week, with occasional periods of 70+ hours for major releases.
