About the role
Join Bitwarden's active Security and IT team to support our global workforce. This position offers the chance to contribute to various projects and planning, managing new and existing security and IT requests for the business. You will report to the Head of Information Security.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Provide initial support for technical service desk tickets related to security and IT.
- Act as the first point of contact for user inquiries, investigating and resolving issues or escalating them.
- Assist with managing access controls, automating user onboarding through SCIM, and handling user provisioning and deprovisioning.
- Configure and maintain Atlassian cloud products including JIRA, Service Management, and Confluence.
- Perform security and IT administrative duties such as auditing, access management, and user licensing across different departments.
- Respond to, investigate, and resolve or escalate security incidents.
- Support the secure and ethical implementation and operation of AI systems and data within the organization.
- Monitor SOC and SIEM alerts, and network traffic for suspicious activity, escalating to higher tiers as needed.
- Help develop and maintain documentation for security systems, services, and procedures to meet compliance needs like ISO 27001, SOC2, HIPAA, and GDPR.
- Administer and maintain endpoint protection, mobile device management (MDM), SASE, DLP, DarkOps, brand protection, and other security solutions.
- Establish and document standardized processes for managing security and IT services, and create secure system configuration baselines.
- Assist with patching, updating, and vulnerability management to ensure systems and endpoints are secure and operational with minimal disruption.
Requirements
- Experience providing security and IT coverage that aligns with the U.S. East Coast time zone.
- Proven experience as a generalist in security and IT, with a history of working with diverse technologies and the ability to gain deep expertise in specific areas.
- Experience managing equipment and software for a distributed, remote, and global workforce.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and adhere to security best practices.
- A proactive approach to solving security and IT challenges through technical understanding and collaboration.
- A strong interest in staying current with security trends and new technologies.
- Familiarity with security standards and regulations relevant to AI and data privacy.
- A collaborative and adaptable working style.
- Excellent communication skills, characterized by openness and authenticity.
- Enthusiasm for open source technology and improving internet security.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to find and communicate solutions effectively.

Practical notes
- This is an all-remote position.
- Visa sponsorship is not offered at this time.
- The U.S. compensation range for this role is $115,000 - $145,000 annually. Actual compensation will depend on experience, skills, and location.
