About the role
Bird is looking for an Operations Specialist to manage our electric vehicle fleet in Columbus. You will handle the physical deployment and maintenance of scooters to ensure our service remains reliable for local riders.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Drive vehicles to load, unload, and position scooters based on mobile app navigation
- Move units from quiet zones to high-traffic areas to meet demand
- Conduct basic quality inspections and diagnostics on e-bikes and scooters
- Assist with general warehouse organization and fleet staging tasks
- Use internal software to track progress and update the team on daily targets
- Help test new product features as they are released
Requirements
- Minimum age of 21
- Valid driver license with at least 2 years of driving history
- Ability to lift 80 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Proficiency in English
- Must be available to work weekends
- Comfort using smartphone applications while working in the field
Nice to have
- Bilingual skills
- Familiarity with the local Columbus area
- Prior work history in logistics, delivery, warehouse roles, or rideshare services
