About the role
Bird is seeking an Operations Partner to help manage its fleet of e-scooters in Dallas, TX. Working alongside the local City Operations Manager, you will keep vehicles maintained, charged, and positioned where riders need them most. This is a hands-on contract position suited for someone who takes initiative, communicates well, and can manage their own schedule effectively.

What you'll do
- Place vehicles at designated spots according to operational guidance
- Park scooters safely and in compliance with local regulations
- Retrieve vehicles that need charging or repairs
- Move scooters from low-traffic zones to high-demand areas to balance availability
Requirements
- Registered Business LLC
- General liability insurance (must obtain within 30 days of starting)
- General commercial auto insurance (must obtain within 30 days of starting)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to commute to Dallas, TX
- Access to a dependable vehicle for work tasks
- Must own or rent a van
- Warehouse space with enough electrical capacity to charge vehicles on site
- Strong familiarity with local streets and neighborhoods
- Flexible schedule with availability to work daily, including weekends
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds and performing physical tasks such as stooping, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods
- Quick learner who adapts to new tools and processes
- Self-starter with energy and drive to build a team and solve problems independently
- Able to break down complex issues into clear, actionable steps

Practical notes
- This is an independent contractor role, not an employee position
- You are responsible for providing your own tools, equipment, van, warehouse, and covering related expenses
- You set your own schedule while meeting Bird's operational requirements
