Bird is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee daily operations of e-scooters and e-bikes across Oklahoma City. This independent contractor position involves collecting, deploying, and maintaining vehicles to keep the local fleet charged, safe, and properly distributed throughout the city. The role suits solo operators with a single van or logistics businesses with multiple drivers who want to scale their involvement.

What you'll do

• Use your own vehicle or fleet to pick up, drop off, move, and retrieve e-scooters and e-bikes throughout Oklahoma City each day
• Handle repairs and routine upkeep on vehicles to maintain safety standards and brand quality
• Run the full operation of your assigned vehicle portfolio, placing units in areas with high rider demand
• Solve problems on the fly, organize tasks by priority, and navigate the city efficiently

Requirements

• Must own or have reliable access to at least one large vehicle (van or truck) capable of transporting multiple scooters and bikes; operators with multiple vehicles and drivers welcome
• Access to a garage, warehouse, or commercial space with electrical outlets strongly preferred for overnight charging
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License or appropriate commercial license with a clean driving record for all drivers
• Able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds and handle extended periods of stooping, bending, walking, and standing while moving heavy equipment
• Flexible availability including regular weekend work
• Comfortable picking up new mobile applications for locating and managing fleet units
• Solid familiarity with Oklahoma City streets and neighborhoods
