About the role

Bird provides urban transportation options to reduce congestion and carbon emissions in cities worldwide. We are seeking a technician in Richmond to maintain our electric scooter fleet and ensure our vehicles remain safe and functional for daily use.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Diagnose and fix mechanical issues to keep the fleet operational.
• Refurbish and disassemble scooters as part of the repair process.
• Report service center progress and obstacles to your supervisor.
• Move inventory and scooters throughout the warehouse facility.
• Coordinate with team members while managing individual tasks.
• Keep your assigned workspace tidy and orderly.

Requirements

• Proficiency with standard hand tools.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours per day.
• Physical capacity to frequently bend, stoop, and lift 40 pounds up to 3 feet high.
• Competence in using smartphone applications.
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Adaptability and a quick learning pace.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a group.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in mechanical repair.
• Background in warehousing, logistics, inventory management, or transportation.
