Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop and deploy production-ready security applications and services using Golang.
- Construct internal security platforms and utilities from the ground up.
- Establish security APIs and integrate them with current systems.
- Create automated processes for identifying system misconfigurations, enforcing security standards, and automating reviews and alerts.
- Design and integrate AI-driven security features.
- Architect and enforce secure cloud environments, specifically on AWS.
- Implement policies for identity and access management, secrets management (e.g., Vault, SSM, Sealed Secrets), and network security.
- Secure CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) to prevent credential exposure and ensure artifact integrity.
- Manage code and artifact security scanning, including SAST, DAST, dependency analysis, SBOM generation, and container image checks.
- Define security checkpoints that balance development speed with risk mitigation.
- Enhance runtime security measures, focusing on anomaly detection and abuse prevention.
- Enforce security policies in live production environments.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams on threat modeling and secure design evaluations.
- Provide security support during incident response and post-mortem analyses.
- Drive improvements based on security incidents and close calls.
- Lead the technical aspects of security incident investigations.
Requirements
- Significant experience in infrastructure, platform, or cloud security.
- Proficient in Golang development for building production software.
- Practical experience with security tools within CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven track record of building security applications and platforms.
- Understanding of software design patterns and engineering best practices.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD systems and Infrastructure as Code.
- Expertise in Golang software development, including APIs, services, and tooling.
- A strong preference for automation over manual processes.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence engineering teams.
- Comfort working in dynamic, production-critical environments.
- Application of software engineering principles to security challenges.
