Senior Product Manager, Margin & Settlement Infrastructure

This position focuses on enhancing the foundational infrastructure for margin trading and settlement processes within our global cryptocurrency exchange. You will define and execute the product strategy for critical financial systems, ensuring their reliability and scalability.

What you'll do

• Establish the strategic vision and product plans for margin financing, securities lending, and the clearing and settlement mechanisms.
• Guide the architectural design for clearing and settlement operations, including trade processing, balance adjustments, multilateral netting, fee and interest calculations, and reconciliation.
• Enhance core margin systems, covering aspects such as collateral assessment, isolated and cross-margin logic, interest calculation, borrowing and lending processes, and liquidation procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to translate intricate financing and settlement requirements into efficient, scalable technical solutions.
• Manage the entire product development cycle, from initial concept through to launch and subsequent feature updates.
• Oversee system performance, settlement accuracy, and reconciliation integrity, proactively addressing any issues.
• Confirm that all systems adhere to relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge of margin financing, securities lending operations, and the mechanics of clearing and settlement, including netting, reconciliation, collateral management, and interest accrual.
• Proven experience in designing or managing the architecture of clearing/settlement or margin systems, gained in either traditional finance or the cryptocurrency sector.
• A background in a technical or quantitative field, such as Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or Mathematics.
• The capability to grasp trading logic, risk management approaches, and settlement workflows, and articulate these into clear product specifications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• While direct product management experience is not mandatory, a strong interest in the role and prior experience with systems-level tasks is essential.

• Fluency in Mandarin is beneficial for effective communication with international teams and partners.
