About the role

This position involves enhancing and overseeing the automated underwriting logic and data within our instant decision platform. You will play a key role in ensuring the platform's performance and compliance while identifying areas for improvement.

What you'll do

• Refine, track, and support the underwriting rules and data used in our automated decision-making system.
• Perform reviews to assess the platform's performance and the accuracy of underwriting decisions made by both internal and external parties.
• Analyze underwriting data and key performance indicators to pinpoint opportunities for enhancement and propose solutions.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of frameworks for integrating with insurance carriers.
• Provide input on the evolution of product features.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in life insurance underwriting.
• At least 1 year of experience working with underwriting rules engines.
• A strong technical foundation, including demonstrated skill in data analysis.
• Practical experience integrating and analyzing data from standard industry vendors to improve underwriting workflows.
• Experience conducting underwriting audits.
• Experience performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Familiarity with the legal and compliance landscape of life insurance and underwriting.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a self-directed environment.
• Adaptability and openness to change.

• FALU, FLMI, or CLU certifications.
