About the role
This position is for an IT Support/Operations Engineer to join the EPD team in New York. You will be responsible for bringing technical support in-house, ensuring all employees receive high-quality assistance. This hybrid role involves managing daily technical issues and maintaining office IT infrastructure.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Be the main contact for technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software problems on Mac and Windows systems.
- Manage user accounts, including setting up, deactivating, and controlling access to systems and services.
- Handle the IT onboarding process for new employees, from laptop setup to account configuration.
- Maintain and improve the IT infrastructure in the office to ensure a reliable environment.
- Create and update a knowledge base for self-service to reduce support requests.
- Oversee IT asset purchasing, inventory, and vendor relationships.
- Support new office setups and contribute to IT planning as the company grows.
- Find ways to automate IT workflows and improve efficiency.
- Adapt to new challenges in a rapidly growing company.
- Perform systems administration, including managing access levels, setting user permissions, and routine maintenance of cloud services.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in IT support and administration, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of Google Workspace, MDM platforms (like Kandji), IdM/SSO solutions (like Okta), and video conferencing tools.
- Proven experience managing macOS at scale, with a good grasp of Windows environments.
- Practical experience with automation tools and a history of streamlining IT processes.
- Excellent communication skills and a dedication to providing great support.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.
