About the role
Bandwidth is a global communications software provider and Tier 1 network operator. We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our CLEC team to drive the transition from TDM to IP connectivity by managing commercial carrier negotiations and product deployment.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop strategies to transition Bandwidth toward full IP-based carrier interactions.
- Identify target companies and lead commercial negotiations to secure IP interconnection agreements.
- Coordinate with internal departments to establish connectivity and launch new carrier partnerships.
- Conduct market validation and customer discovery for new initiatives across wholesale telecom, consumer communications, and specific industry verticals.
- Use customer feedback and performance metrics to guide product evolution.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify new service and technology opportunities via external industry events.
- Create and execute go-to-market strategies, including positioning and benefit definition, in partnership with sales and marketing.
- Participate in cross-functional efforts involving engineering, operations, marketing, and sales.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience.
- Background in telecommunications and SaaS business models.
- Proven track record in commercial negotiations, specifically with Local Exchange Carriers.
- Ability to thrive in early-stage environments where priorities shift frequently based on market data.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with industry leaders.
Nice to have
- Previous experience in a startup environment.
- Background in telecommunications regulation.
Skills & tools
- Telecom services and protocols including SIP, RTP, G.7xx, SMPP, and WebRTC.
