About the role
Bandwidth is seeking a Product Manager to own the Numbers and Inbound products within the CLEC product team. You will drive customer outcomes, operational efficiency, and financial performance while working directly with carriers, vendors, sales teams, and customers. This position involves managing existing products and guiding new features from concept through launch.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Oversee Numbers and Inbound products with focus on cost control and operational improvements
- Negotiate and manage agreements with carriers
- Collaborate with Sales to gather customer insights and data
- Draft product requirements for process improvements and advocate for them in internal prioritization discussions
- Act as subject matter expert for approved development enhancements
- Build strong relationships with key customers
- Lead market validation and customer discovery for new initiatives across industry verticals, wholesale telecom, and consumer communications
- Use customer interaction metrics to guide product direction
- Work with senior leadership to identify new technology and service opportunities through external events
- Create and execute go-to-market strategies including positioning, benefits messaging, and target customer identification alongside marketing and sales
- Support the Infrastructure product management team with voice coverage, capacity optimization, and process improvements as time allows
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or 10+ years of experience
- 3-5 years of product management experience
- Background with US CLEC and SIP-based telecom networks
- Ability to thrive in early-stage environments where priorities shift frequently based on market input
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Demonstrated initiative and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate across all organizational levels
Nice to have
- International telecom network experience
- Familiarity with telecom protocols such as SIP, RTP, G.7xx, SMPP, and WebRTC
- Experience working within Agile development organizations
- Prior use of Monday or comparable project management tools
- Previous Agile workflow experience
