Data Solutions Engineer

About the role

This position involves building and managing enterprise data systems across their entire lifecycle. You will collaborate with internal teams to architect scalable solutions that centralize business rules and improve data consistency.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Build and maintain data pipelines to facilitate business intelligence and solution development.
• Design scalable infrastructure for data movement and integration across firm systems.
• Manage data storage using Azure SQL Database, PostgreSQL, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Blob Storage.
• Oversee medallion architecture layers within the data lake to support the enterprise data model.
• Centralize transformations and business logic to ensure reliable enterprise data.
• Apply validation and cleansing routines to maintain high data integrity.
• Utilize Microsoft Fabric for analytics and engineering tasks.
• Support integration and automation efforts via Microsoft Power Platform and Logic Apps.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5 years of professional experience in software and data solution development.
• Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, and Apache Airflow.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD, and version control.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, Azure Logic Apps, and Power Automate.
• Expertise in data modeling, architecture, and master data management.
• Ability to manage time, report project progress, and work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with attorneys and support staff.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Azure OpenAI and Document Intelligence for processing unstructured data.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric components including Lakehouse and Real-Time Analytics.
• Experience with Power Apps and Power BI.

• Salary range in Washington is $130,000 to $165,000 per year.
