What you'll do

• Lead and supervise construction teams, ensuring that all project activities are executed efficiently and safely.
• Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring that timelines are met and resources are allocated effectively.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure that project specifications are met and any issues are resolved promptly.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring that they meet performance expectations and deliver materials on time.
• Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and progress updates.
• Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, communication, and professional development among team members.
• Address any conflicts or challenges that arise on-site, implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
• Ensure that all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
• Monitor project budgets and expenditures, providing regular updates to management and making recommendations for cost-saving measures.
• Participate in project meetings, providing insights and updates on site conditions and progress to stakeholders.
• Stay informed about industry trends and advancements, incorporating best practices into project management and execution.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or a related field.
• Proven experience in a supervisory role, with strong leadership and team management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality control standards.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges on-site.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, with a solid understanding of budgeting and scheduling.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites as required.
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Alabama is preferred.

Nice to have

• A degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications such as OSHA 30-hour or similar safety training.
• Experience with sustainable building practices and green construction methods.
