About the role
Back Market is scaling its presence in the United States to make refurbished electronics the standard consumer choice. This role serves as the primary product strategist for the American market, bridging the gap between local business goals and global product development.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Act as the internal authority on the US refurbished tech ecosystem, including consumer behavior and seller dynamics.
- Create and maintain a multi-quarter product roadmap that aligns with competitive intelligence and local market trends.
- Lead high-impact initiatives from discovery through deployment, coordinating across engineering, data, supply, and marketing teams.
- Build frameworks for decision-making that help global product teams prioritize US-specific needs.
- Define success metrics and implement tracking systems to evaluate performance and adjust strategies.
- Influence stakeholders across international offices to ensure global roadmaps support US growth objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience in product management within e-commerce, consumer tech, or marketplace environments.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex, multi-stakeholder product strategies at a domain level.
- Deep familiarity with the US market and its structural differences compared to international regions.
- Ability to drive outcomes and influence cross-functional partners without direct reporting authority.
- Experience operating within ambiguous, large-scale organizational structures.
- Strong focus on product discovery, technical requirements, and iterative development.
Practical notes
- The interview process consists of five stages conducted via Google Meet: an initial intro, a business screening with a live case study, a cross-functional stakeholder interview, a leadership interview, and a values-based interview.
- The company offers a hybrid schedule including 2 remote days per week, 1 remote work week per quarter, and 3 additional flex days.
