About the role
This position involves managing and enhancing the People Team's technology systems across 17 countries. You will focus on Workday as the primary platform while also integrating and optimizing other HR tools. Your work will directly support our mission to make refurbished tech a global standard.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Configure, test, and document Workday modules including HCM, Absence, Talent, Advanced Compensation, Help, and Journeys, from initial business needs to deployment.
- Manage the Workday release cycle, evaluating new features, testing impacts, and implementing relevant improvements.
- Resolve system and workflow issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
- Oversee other HR tools like ATS and expense management, mapping current setups and consolidating them under unified governance.
- Act as the main point of contact for these tools, handling configuration, user support, and vendor relations.
- Evaluate the existing HR tool stack to identify redundancies or gaps, proposing replacements or consolidations.
- Collaborate with internal Tech teams on integrating Workday with other systems such as payroll, ATS, and IT provisioning.
- Work with external partners to ensure project delivery, challenging solutions when necessary.
- Explore and prototype automation and AI solutions for People processes, including Workday Extend.
- Create documentation and training to improve user adoption and satisfaction with People tools.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of direct Workday configuration experience; this is a technical build role.
- Strong proficiency in Workday HCM, including reporting (calculated fields, advanced and matrix reports) and security configuration.
- Experience administering another HR tool end-to-end (e.g., ATS, expense management, LMS), covering configuration, users, and vendor relationships.
- Ability to translate business needs into system requirements and provide constructive pushback when appropriate.
- Highly organized and meticulous, with a focus on data accuracy and configuration documentation in a multi-country setting.
- Comfortable taking ownership of existing systems, demonstrating diplomacy, thorough mapping, and patience.
- Capable of prioritizing conflicting requests from various People sub-teams and clearly communicating decisions.
- Fluent in English, our primary working language.
Nice to have
- Experience with tool migrations or consolidating vendors.
- Background in a rapidly growing international company.
- Proficiency in French.
