About the role
Azazie, Inc. is looking for an Applied AI Solutions Engineer to create and implement AI applications that enhance customer interactions, boost internal efficiency, streamline content operations, and optimize supply chain functions. This role is hands-on and requires a technical expert who can take a business challenge from concept to a fully developed solution.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Create and implement AI-driven applications utilizing large language models, machine learning services, APIs, and automation tools.
- Develop backend services, data pipelines, and workflow orchestration to support AI initiatives.
- Implement model tool integration, structured output generation, business-rule validation, fallback strategies, and human-in-the-loop processes.
- Build reusable AI components and internal services applicable to various business scenarios.
- Oversee source code management, testing, deployment, monitoring, and documentation.
- Track model accuracy, system reliability, latency, token consumption, infrastructure costs, and overall application performance.
- Establish logging, version control, testing protocols, access controls, and failure management processes.
- Assess different models and architectures based on quality, speed, cost, security, and maintainability.
- Ensure proper controls for sensitive data, customer information, and critical automated decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, machine learning engineering, or AI application development.
- Proficient in Python with experience in SQL, APIs, JSON, authentication, and web services.
- Familiarity with building applications using large language model APIs.
- Experience in prompt engineering, structured output creation, tool integration, retrieval-augmented generation, or AI agents.
- Knowledge of Git, software testing, cloud deployment, logging, and application monitoring.
- Ability to independently design and execute solutions from prototype to production.
- Strong skills in debugging and technical problem-solving.
- Experience with vector databases, embedding models, knowledge retrieval, and document processing pipelines.
- Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Docker, serverless infrastructure, or CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in developing conversational AI, voice AI, customer service automation, or AI copilot products is advantageous.
- Background in forecasting, optimization, recommendation systems, or supply chain analytics is a plus.
- Experience in e-commerce or retail technology is beneficial.
- Understanding of AI security, prompt injection risks, privacy, model evaluation, and responsible AI practices is a plus.
